My new toy

Well i got my new toy late on monday afternoon it's a cuttlebug which is basically the same as the zip emate only smaller & more compact & it cuts like butter. So far i have cut different sizzix dies & Quickcutz dies but i haven't made any cards yet i will wait till i cut a load more then i can make lots of different cards.With the cuttlebug being small i dont have to pack it away & pull it back out when i need something cut as i just leave it on the kitchen table.I'm going to get some cuttlebug dies when cutting edge crafts get them in as i like the look of some of the alphabet sets i can also get dome Ellison thick dies which you can use in the cuttlebug so i need to start saving again.

Typing this in blue because thats how i feel today totally fed up & board i have been waiting nearly 4 weeks for my new toy the cuttlebug to arrive & i'm so p****d off as i have a load of new dies to try.Just ordered another 5 lastnight but sshh dont tell Charlie he he. So i haven't been making many cards just using up some of my older ones that's been lying about in a basket for ages i have a load of new stuff to play with including loads of the big bloomers which are to die for some beautiful colours.Got an email today from the internet holiday company that we booked up with for going to Majorca it was to tell us our flight times have changed.Coming home we were supposed to fly from Palma at 20.20 but it has now been put back to 02.00 so we dont get back untill around 04.00 on the sunday morning & thats to Edinburugh then we have a good hour & a half drive home.The good thing about it is we get to stay in majorca a couple of extra hours which suits me as i never want to come home anyway the rotten thing is we have to be out our rooms by noon unless it's quite they will let us keep a room on till 6.00pm.Cant wait to go back to my second home we just love it but we are only going for a week this year as we are booked up to go to Florida in october which will be different cant wait to go craft shopping.Oh well thats it for now.

Boy that tastes good Amy enjoying a lick of uncle Charlie's icelolly

Had a really lovley day today i done a spot of babysitting for debbie & Lesley's friend Susan. Her daughter is 5 months old & her name is Amy she is just a little angel full of smiles & telling stories she was no bother i have watched her before & she's just a happy & contented baby (Just the way i like them) Any way i gave her lunch which was baby rice followed by her milk gosh you cant feed her quick enough as soon as you took the spoon away to put more food on it she was sat there with her mouth wide open waiting for more.She lay & kicked her legs & tried to do her new party trick rolling over on to her tummy but she just couldn't do it today then she fell asleep for nearly 3 hours & wakened up for her tea but before that uncle Charlie was giving her licks of his icelolly & boy did she enjoy it.We think she's started teething as she kept eating her fingers & when i gave her a teething ring she was biting really hard on it

More Blooms

Well after feeling really down the past few days i have just treated myself to some more Blooms i got some (Well a load) a couple of weeks ago & i was going through the site that sells them when another £17.00 worth fell into my basket.I keep buying all these beautiful things & not doing anything with them i am still waiting for my cuttlebug so will start using some of my stash up then.The amount of stash i have is getting bigger by the week i really need to stop impulse buying i bought an alphabet set from Nicola at the beginning of the year & i still haven't used it. I really should start making mothers day cards but it looks like my get up & go has gone for good i think it got thrown out with the christmas paper,cards ect. If it doesn't come back soon i will end up selling everything but thats something i DONT want to do i have lots of ideas i just cant be bothered doing anything about it.Oh well thats all for now.

Blog problems

Sorry i haven't bloged for a week but i keep having problems with my blog when i go to sign in it say's sign into old blog or new blog i always go to old blog but i have to enter my user name & password then it goes on to say i need a google account so i tried setting this up but it wont accept my email address saying this address is already being used then it say's something about my url which i haven't the foggiest idea about.So if if keep having these problems i may just stop blogging altogether either that or set up a new blog.Oh well thats my winge over for now he he not a lot happening hear at the moment it's been a funny week weather wise we have had snow (Although it didn't lie) rain,hail,thunder & lightning & just really cold had to turn the heating up roll on the summer. I haven't really been doing much card wise only making cards when need to i'm waiting for my new toy to come yes i'm getting a cuttlebug it's been ordered from USA by a lady with a craft shop in Forfar.So far i have been waiting more than 2 weeks but she contacted me on friday to say it is in the country but it's at parcel force's ware house & they have a huge back log going back to 6th of january so who knows when i will get it the lady did say i could cancel if i want as she can understand i have been waiting all this time but hey what i dont have i dont miss & i know i will get it eventually.

Wedding fair

Well today Lesley,Debbie,Susan & i went to a wedding fair in Dundee & boy what a day it was.There was 90 stalls there all with different ideas & prices my best stalls were the wedding cake stalls i have never ate so much wedding cake in my life it was all beautiful.Some of the prices that people are charging is really a joke one photographer wants £1,900 for 50 photo's & a silk wedding album ok they were nice but i wouldn't pay that kind of money the same guy wants £ 800.00 for a basic package wedding video i mean where do they get their prices from.Just as well my brother is doing the photgraphy he is semi professional & all lesley has to pay for is the album there was a couple of ladies there with hand made wedding stationery very small cards with ie a heart stuck in the middle there was one that had ribbon down the middle with a bow stuck on it the ribbon was squint they were charging day/evening invitations FROM £2.20 i know i shouldn't judge other crafters work but they really weren't worth the money.They had a fashion show some nice dresses but i wasn't really looking at the dresses more at the young lads in kilts doing cartwheels (Just a pity they had boxers on)HA HA.All our heads are buzzing with everything that went on i think Susan got the biggest shock she never realised how much things cost she just kept saying i'm not going to have enough money for my wedding but i have told her not to worry about it & that we will sit down next week & make a list of what she really needs & what she really doesn't i'm sure we will come up with a suitable budget for her.Well thats all for now oh except Blair booked their band today so that's something else done.

Wedding changes

Well just when we think everything is sorted it has to change Susan has now decided she wants to go to the same shop where Lesley got her dress from & try a few on so no problem there it's actually going to be better because both Lesley & Susan have picked their bridesmaid dresses from this shop so if Susan likes a dress in this shop then everything will be ordered from the same shop instead of going from one shop to another.
The next change is Lesley & blair's date it's a long story but they have now moved the date forward but only by 6 weeks so the wedding will be on 29th August instead of 10th October something to do with the band they want.I can deal with 6 weeks earlier as long as it's not 6 months anyway they called the hotel where they are getting married to see if that date was avalible & it is so they are going out tomorrow to confirm & pay a deposit.Blair has decided he wants a minister to marry them his mum & dad are good friends with their local minister so they are going to make arrangements to see him.On sunday Lesley,Debbie,susan & i are going to a wedding fair on sunday so that should be good hope to get a few ideas i'm looking forward to the fashion show seeing all the girls with their lovley wedding dresses on & the men in their kilts (OOO i love to see a man in a kilt)I think thats it for now will tell you how it went on sunday.

Hear is a sneak look at the top of the dress it's beautiful

Well today it was the turn of Lesley's friend Susan to go wedding dress shopping after getting off to a bad start with our first appointment cancelled due to the shop getting flooded.Anyway we managed to get an appointment for another shop so there was Susan telling the lady what kind of dress she was after so the lady come in with 4 Susan tried them all on but they didn't really do anything for her. The lady went away & come back with something different & as soon as it was on all we could hear was susan saying WAWO the curtains got opend & WAWO was what Lesley & i both said before our eyes was princess Susan she looked stunning i started crying A because she DID look stunning & B because i wish her mum could see her. Susan & her mum dont really get on which is why she asked me to stand in.Tomorrow it's bridesmaids shopping like Lesley susan is having 4 bridesmaids so that will be fun.

Well today i have been sitting going through loads of wedding magazines & my head is buzzing.Lesley & Blair are going to the hotel they hope to get married in on sunday night they are going to speak to the manager lesley & i met him before when we just so happend to pass that way in the car it's only about 15 miles from our house.They have a date in mind but i have been told not to say when that is yet just incase the hotel is booked for that date but the wedding wont be till 2009 yes i know it's 2 years away yet but popular places get booked up quickly hear but once everything is provisionally booked then we can relax for a while.Oh well better head off to bed now as my head is swimming with wedding thoughts.

Thought i had better give an update now that i'm back to my old self again. Whats been happening well on friday nicola (Dollydimple) came to mine as i was buying an alphabet set from her she is so lovley had a cuppa & a good old chat as this was my first time meeting her well unless you count me going to see her in dundee when she was doing the market but we never got much of a chance to talk. We made up for it though on friday we lost track of time showed her some of my stash that i buy & dont use (He He) By the way Nic i still haven't used my alphabet set yet.
On saturday i went with Lesley to see wedding dresses she is not getting married till 2009 but she wants to start looking & trying when she tried on the one she loved i started crying she looked beautiful. We will of course look at other dresses & other shops i think they have decided on burgandy bridesmaids but that could change.
Lesley's friend susan is getting married next year & she asked me to help pick her dress as her mum isn't going to the wedding & she doesn't really bother with susan so i was only to happy to say yes i will come with her.Debbie & lesley are to be bridesmaids but she wants me to sit at the top table as a stand in mother of the bride because she said i'm more like a mum to her than her own mum is so to be asked to do that is fantastic it means i get to have 2 mother of the bride outfits & 2 HATS. So for the next couple of years thats all it will be wedding this wedding that but know what i'm really looking forward to it all we just have to get Debbie a lad now. Well that's all i have to report for now will try to keep you all updated.

9 Days already

Gosh who would belive it's 9 days into the new year already.I think it has gone quickly for me as i have been poorly & have been doing a lot of sleeping anyway i'm starting to feel better now thank goodness.Hope everyone had a nice new year. We were at one of our local pubs to bring the bells in & our favourit duo were playing that was untill we had a power cut yes everything went out at first we thought it was just the pub but we soon found out it was the whole of Arbroath.The pub had emergency lighting so we just sat around as no one could do anything you couldn't get a taxi as the systems were down so we just had to make the best of a bad situation.Hayzl the female of the duo tried to start a sing song but no one was listening so me being me after a few little tipples said to Charlie,Debbie Lesley & the other 6 at our table lets start singing flower of scotland thinking no one will join in how wrong was i. I started it off the table joined in then the whole pub joined in it was great of course one song led to another then the bells went & everyone started singing Auld lang syne which brought a tear to my eye.Another couple of songs & hey presto the power was back on this was at 00.30 but the duo played till 02.00 so all in all it was a good night different but good. Looking forward to making some cards now that i feel a better got some dies & other things from santa but they are lying untouched so hopefully i can make a start this week. Oh well thats it for now

Nice Christmas

Hope everyone had a nice christmas i had a lovley christmas got a lot of nice presents.A few new die's,plus money to buy more craft stuff in the sales i also got a few cd's including Rod stewart,sugababes,scissor sisters,take that to name but a few.I also got 2 ROBBIE dvd's & a ROBBIE mouse mat & calander can you tell i love ROBBIE HE HE.Also got clothes slippers chocies ect so santa was really good to me cant wait ro take the tree & everything down so i can start making cards again as i have joined CBC birthday club after some gentle pushing by the lovley H so i'm looking forward to this cant promise my cards will be great but i will do my best (I'm being told off for bringing myself down again)Well thats all i have to say for the time being So will finish off by saying hope everyone has a great new year & those who are going through difficult times find things better in 2007

Hi every one sorry i have not bloged for a while no reason why just nothing to blog about.Well i THINK i'm all ready for christmas just a few bits & pieces to get at the weekend.Charlie,Lesley & i went into Dundee on saturday & i met nicola (dollydimple) she was doing a fair and i have to say her jewlery is fantastic bought a couple of things for lesley for her christmas.Nicola is lovley so is her sister i'm just glad that at last i have finally got to meet someone from CBC forum hoping to meet a few more in the near future.My young brother come home from Dubai on friday he is home for christmas & new year he is coming up to us on 30th december & is bringing mum up with him so we are looking forward to that.Well i think thats it for now hope every one has a happy christmas & a joyfull new year.

As you know Lesley asked her boyfriend Blair to marry her & he said yes.Well yesterday blair went with Charlie to watch football and asked Charlie's permission for his daughters hand in marriage.We thought that was really lovley of him bet you dont get a lot of that these days.I tried to get Blair to take both of them of our hands but in all honesty i think he has enough to put up with when he has got Lesley he he.
Went to Dundee today got quite a lot of christmas shopping done so my back hurts as we did a lot of walking had to put my tens machine on when i got home.

Lesley asked Blair to marry her & he said YES so they are getting engaged although we were told to tell everyone lesley isn't to sure when he will put the ring on her finger she would like it just now but Blair wants to wait till christmas day.Everyone is sssssooooo excited for them both Blair is such a lovley lad.They have only been going out for 5 months so although it's quite early in the relationship to get engaged they are not getting married till 2010 as they both have debts to pay off plus i we will need all that time to save up.As long as they are both happy charlie & i are happy when she has the ring on her finger i will take a photo & post it for everyone to see.OMG i cant belive i'm going to be mother of the bride & Charlie father of the bride oh i have butterflies just thinking of it.Will keep you updated with whats happening.

Well tonight we met Lesley's boyfriends parents & we got on really well with them & we left them thinking we had known them for years so all the panicking & everything was for nothing.They are such a lovley couple & just like us down to earth we have a lot in commen with them to so had lots to talk about & we are meeting up again for another night before christmas so we are looking fotward to that.Blair's mum commented on how happy Blair is since meeting Lesley & i said the same about Lesley.
I think we are BOTH saving for that NEW HAT So watch this space he he.

I think Lesley & blair's relationship is serious why? Because we are going out for a meal with Blair's mum & dad on sunday i'm already panicking as im not good round new people i always blab a lot of rubbish but Blair said his mum's the same (Think he's just saying that to put my mind at ease)Anyway Lesley has met them a few times & said they are really nice & just like us his mum loves winding him up about getting married & i do the same to BOTH of them he he.So there could be a lot of wedding talk i have warned Charlie to be on his best behaviour.

This is baby Amy she is my daughters friend's baby we are having her over night she is 8 weeks old & is full of smiles.Just hope she is good during the night she is sleeping in the girls room so they will see to her if she wakes up for a feed.She is a very contented baby & only cries when she's hungry.This is her with uncle Charlie & auntie Maggie.I love babies when they are at this stage she just looks all around taking everything in she got her eye on my clock with the swinging pendulum & she just lay there staring at it for ages.She's just like a wee doll & i love getting cuddles with her.

Update Amy was as good as gold she only wakend up once & that was at 4.30am she then slept through till 9.00am took a little drop milk & crashed out again that was her till 11.30 this morning.it was a plesure to have her & would keep her over night again anytime.

Hear is a photo of Lesley & Blair at Blair's best friend's wedding Blair was best man.They really enjoyed it & had a lovley day for it to.Blair was really nervous about making his speech but he did really well.Blair's mum so happend to say to Lesley that Blair is the only one out of 5 friend who ISN'T married then went on to tell everyone that they were very fond of Lesley & she hopes some day she will become part of their family which i thought was very nice i say the same about Blair he's a lovley lad & he's good to lesley.So who knows i MIGHT have to be buying a new hat in the future. Lesley's boyfriend has asked her to move in with him & she said yes BUT she cant move in just now as she is saving to go to florida next october plus the flat he is in is tiny & i mean really tiny so they are going to buy some where together hence waiting till after florida.She has just about moved in any way she stays with him 5/6 nights a week but she said it's to claustaphobic (Sorry about the spelling) Now all we need is for Debbie to get a lad & she can move out to then i can have a CRAFT ROOM.Wont hold my breath though.Charlie,Debbie & i have a night out on saturday so i will have a look around to see if i can see any young free & single lads for her i really do WANT that craft room He He

Had a really good weekend after having a bit of a rough ride for the past few weeks.We were at an 18th birthday party on friday night danced the night away & had a go at karaoke.Debbie & i went up to sing stupid cupid but because Debbie sings on the karaoke all the time & she knows the guy who does it so kenny turned debbie's microphone down so they could only hear me i was very suprised at the reaction i got a few people came up to me & said i have a great voice my reply to that was yes for a coal woman HE He.Anyway it boosted my confidence no end this is a photo of debbie & i singing

Just a quick update as you will see by my last post i have not been to good with the depression thing going on.Thankfully im feeling a whole lot better we were at a 18th birthday party on friday night it was a karaoke/Disco i was up dancing all night long & had a shot at karaoke Debbie & i sang stupid cupid but i didn't realise the guy had turned debbie's microphone down so i could be herd (Debbie sings all the time) So i think it was a set up anyway there was me up there singing my heart out & really enjoying it people were up dancing to it & the aplause at the end was great it really boosted my confidence. Then on saturday my brother & sister inlaw came up from Glagow for an over night stay so we were back out again on saturday night.I was up dancing again but my feet were still sore from the night before but i danced the night away anyway.Getting up from my bed this morning i felt like i have been hit by a 10 ton truck was it worth it Too right it was.

Feeling really down

Been feeling very down & low for the last few days i think it's the depression at first i put it down to holiday blues but that usually only lasts a couple of days after i have come home & i have been home nearly 2 weeks.I dont know why i'm feeling like this as everything is fine we nearly everything is fine there is something bothering me but dont want to go into detail.about it.Yesterday afternoon i went up to bed and slept for a couple of hours i didn't feel tired i was just feeling very tearful this morning i didn't get out of bed till gone 10.30 did a little bit of housework but nothing much.charlie & the girls know how i'm feeling although i do try to hide it from them my mum noticed there was something not right with me when we went to my sisters to visit her but i just made an excuse & she didn't say anymore.I'm already on antidepressants which my gp just uped the dose a few weeks ago i just wish i had my best friend around to talk to as she was a great listener & listened to all my problems & she understood me but sadly she died 8 years ago & i could never find anyone like her again she just new by looking at me or if she phoned she would know there was something wrong with me.I miss her so much but thats not the reason i'm feeling like i do but i know if she was hear today she would know what to do about what's bothering me.I haven't been making cards either as it seems to much of an effort tonight i was asked to make a weddding acceptance card & it took me all my time to do just that.I seem to be spending money on craft stuff then not doing anything with it but i suposse i will feel like making cards again soon.So thats it for now dont know when i will blog again as it's taken me ages to do this so bye for now.

Well the packing is all done passports are ready so just have to wait for tomorrow to come then we are off to SUNNY Majorca.Cant wait we just love majorca & have been going there since 1999 this was our first holiday abroad & we fell in love with it the apartments/hotel was known as the Barcelo Torrenova but it changed hands to new owners at the end of last season.We were there for a week in june & wasn't very pleased with the changes ie they have closed the resturant so if you went half board you have to go to the pool side bar which doesn't open if it's raining that doesn't bother us as we go self catering but if you wanted a meal in the resurant you just paid at the time.When you come out of the resturant it takes you to the entertainment place so when people come out the resturant they would stay & watch the entertainment but because the resturant is closed there's no one there to watch the entertainment & in turn there's no one at the bar.Cant see this lovley hotel lasting to much longer they also only change the towels every 4 days which isn't so good & they are charging you if you want the spare key.Anyway we will go & enjoy ourselfs as always sampling some of the cocktails on our nights out.Will post photo's when i get back.

My poor back is really sore i thought i was being clever ironing some clothes for my holiday only i over done it & now im paying for it not to worry though i can rest from tomorrow till we leave on saturday.Cant wait for saturday to come round as we really need our holiday after it being a bit of a bad year for us.Cant wait to get some sun that always helps with my aches & pains along with some alcohol He He.We are all packed and ready to go not to sure whats happening at the airports i think i can take on my handbag just as well where else would i put all my medication i wouldn't like to pack it in my suitcase as it would be just my luck my suitcase would get lost.Well thats all for now.

Robbie Williams Oh what a night

Well i had my big night out on friday night we went to the Robbie Williams concert at Hampden football park in Glasgow and he was absolutly brilliant i couldn't believe i was actually there seeing my idol this is the first time i have seen him he was on stage for 2 hours and i sang and danced for the whole 2 hours needless to say on saturday i had just about lost my voice and i felt like i had been hit by a steamroller but it was worth every aching bone,joint & sore throat.He had his friend johnny wilkisson with him they did a version of me and my shadow they were very good.As the night was drawing to a close he went off stage after saying goodnight and came back on and sang angels i had a lump in my throat and started crying i was just overcome with emotion the tears just would't stop.When we got home to mum's we went to bed but i couldn't sleep as i was still hyped up & i kept going over & over the songs he sang i think i got to sleep about 05.00am would i go back & see him again DAMMED right i would.

Well mum came through her operation ok she got it done on wednesday & got home yesterday (sunday) so she's now at my sister's house to recover which is just as well when we were ready to leave the hospital my sister & i were thanking the staff for taking care of mum & where was mum half way down the corrider she would have been out the door but couldn't manage with her crutches.Mum phoned today to say she went to bed at 9.00pm & slept till 10.00am this morning she must have been needing the sleep as anyone who's been in hospital will know you dont really get much of a sleep as there's always someone coming & going.

Well this will be my last blog for a little while as we are going to Glasgow tomorrow night as mum is going into hospital for her op she has to go in tomorrow but her op isn't till wednesday.I was at the doctors this morning for my blood pressure check & it was quite high but he said it's probebly with me worrying about mum so isn't going to change my medication.Tell you though just thinking of this op makes my tummy do sumersults i know everything will be fine but it doesn't stop me worrying.All being well we will be back home on sunday night and mum should be out on the monday or tuesday.So note to myself STOP worrying everything WILL be fine just focus on going to the robbie williams concert on friday night.Thats all for now

Well after feeling very down over the last few day's i have finally cheered up & feeling a bit happier about things.Yesterday our Robbie Williams tickets came we go to see him next friday cant wait im so excited.Then we got a phone call from the travel agents to say our tickets were ready to pick up so we did that today i am starting to look forward to my holiday now as my sister is going to see about mum getting discharged from hospital in Glasgow to stay at my sister's in Kirkcaldy so that puts my mind at ease knowing some one will be with her 24 -7.I will probebly start getting stressed again on wednesday when mum goes through her op but i will be fine once it's all over with.Not much more to add so that will probebly be my last blog till we get home from Glasgow next sunday.

I am starting to feel really stressed out mum goes into hospital for her knee replacement next wednesday so Charlie & i are going through to Glasgow on the tuesday night mum is being admitted on the tuesday so they can do tests ect before her op im just so scared something might happen to her i know that sounds really silly.She was told by the surgeon that her blood clot could come back & she might not survive surgery but he was only telling her this is what MIGHT happen.I know there's a risk with all surgery but when mum took a blood clot over in Benidorm 6 years ago she was one very very lucky lady as the clot had moved to her heart & lungs according to the doctors over in benidorm she should be dead in those circumstances any way after 3 weeks in ICU she made it home and well but she's getting older now she is 71 & we have all noticed since dad died her health isn't so good.I suppose im getting myself into a state for nothing but thats just me i could go on & on with this blog as there's a lot more to it but thinking about it & writing it all down seems silly lets just say my head is really mucked up at the moment.

We had a nice day yesteday Debbie & Lesley were taking us out for a run in the car then we were going to have lunch or tea we ended up going into Dundee as we were in Kirkcaldy on saturday & Lesley bought a cardigan to wear out on saturday night but when she put it on she realised there was a hole in it she got it from Bon Marche in Kirkcaldy so to save going back to Kirkcaldy we took it back to the dundee branch but they didn't have any so she got her money back.We were asked what we wanted to do go for lunch or go for a meal at our local we decided to go for the meal it was lovley.After that we went out with the girls for karaoke which was good fun & NO i DIDN'T sing (i would have cleared the pub) Charlie just had a few shandy's as he is up at 04.00am for work Lesley is up at 06.66am & Debbie at 07.00am so i was the only one that could have a few little drinks as i didn't have to get up for anything.Lesley' s boyfriend joined us & we got to know him a bit better he is a lovley lad & he adores Lesley & Lesley adores him to.AW young love isn't it lovley.

Well we went to kirkcaldy today the girls took us in the car it was quite a good day although i never got anything much well i got a top dont know if it fits as i couldn't be bothered trying it on in the shop but it was a bargain i got it for £4.00 so if it doesn't fit then i have'nt wasted a lot of money.Debbie & Lesley got quite a few things clothes for their holiday well it's supposed to be for their holiday but they are away out tonight glamed up with all their new things on just hope they dont drink to much as they are taking Charlie & i out for the day tomorrow we are either going to have lunch or an early tea depends what time we leave at & where we go.Got a few bits & bobs from Burns & Harris in Kirkcaldy some how that branch sells better things than dundee got a few ideas for making some wedding samples but it will have to wait till im in the mood.

Well im sat hear at the computer listening to music from the 70s my young brother is into lots of music infact i dont think there's anything he doesn't know.Anyway i was listening to the radio last weekend & they played a lot of songs from the 70s you know the kind that you forgot exsisted so that got me looking into making a play list on my media player but i was having trouble thinking who had what out & was it the 70s or 80s.So my young brother emailed me from Dubai & the list of 70s music he sent me is great there's songs that were out when charlie & i were going out with each other so they bring back lots of memories good ones at that.Right now im listening to jeans on by David Dundas then there's walking miracle,up town top ranking,love train,heart on my sleeve your baby ain't your baby anymore & loads of others including The Bay city rollers who i loved and must admit still do.Gosh lisening to all these songs just take me right back they make me feel good so thats a good thing. I cant belive save all your kisses for me by Brotherhood of man was out when we got married 28 years ago oh god im starting to feel old.

Well it was my birthday yesterday im 48 now gosh thats scary anyway i had a nice day my mum & my aunty Isa came up from Glasgow for the day which was nice.I got flowers & money from Charlie lots of little pressies from the 2 girls and more money from my mum,MIL & aunty so guess who's going to have a crafty shop only thing is i dont know what to buy with it yet i have a few ideas but just cant make my mind up.My brother phoned me from Dubai which was nice he had forgot to get me a card so he phoned instead i love speaking to him he is doing so well for himself & we are all very proud of him.My sister,hubby & kids are in Majorca they left on monday morning they had no delay's she phoned me tonight to tell me how hot it was but how they are getting eating alive with mossies.We fly out to majorca on the 9th cant wait & all being well mum should be on the road to recovery after her knee replacement fingers crossed anyway.Well thats all i have to say for now gosh when i look back on my posts they are nearly all the same i lead a very boring life.

It was charlie's 49th birthday yesterday he hates the thought that he will be 50 next year i dont know why it's only a number after all (Say's she who's 48 on tuesday) Anyway we had a night in the house with some friends we played deal or no deal the board game it was quite funny.Debbie missed outon the £25 k twice i won £10.00 then delt at £25.000 think of all the craft stuff i could buy if it was real Lynne one of our friends won the penny it was good fun.Charlie got a bit tipsy or i should say a lot tipsy oh well it was his birthday after all.

Not really got any news unless you call a local hotel going up in flames at about 05.30 am The hotel seaforth was up for sale recently and who ever bought it had planned to knock it down and build flats but the person didn't get planning permission as part of the hotel was a listed building they were refused permission last night & the place burns down in the early hours of the morning.Debbie got home from work at 8.30 tonight & the police & fire brigade were still there its still burning in parts.Now im NOT one for gossip but the same thing happend to my old school in Glasgow because one of the buildings was a listed building they couldn't touch it someone torched it & now its all flats coincedence or what?Just now im sitting listening to the new Billy Joel cd im not a fan of his but like some of his songs it's really quite good oh well just about bed time i think although im not that tired so night night.

Cant put my finger on how i feel tonight im feeling quite low dont know why ok maybe i do i have been trying to loose some weight for my holiday but it just isn't shifting i have tried smaller portions drinking loads of water ect but i still stay the same i know it's better than putting weight on but at the moment thats not how i feel.Got a few things on my mind at the moment we are due to go on holiday in 5 weeks time which im really looking forward to but my mum has to go into hospital the week before we go on holiday for a knee replacement so im worried about that although Charlie & i are going through on the tuesday night and will stay till sunday all being well mum should get home on the monday or tuesday.I know she wont be short of visitors but it doesn't stop me worrying it's bad enough we live 100 miles apart anyway but when im in majorca thats a different story.Mum keeps saying i have to go & enjoy my holiday which i will do my best to i will phone her every day the only thing is if she did have a problem she wont want me told about it.She had a DVT about 6 years ago and has been told this could come back again when she had the DVT she was in Benidorm with her sister but mum nearly died as the clot had broken up & had went to her heart & lungs she was only hours from death & was in intensive care for 2 weeks but she got better i think deep down this is whats worrying me.Hopefully i will feel fine again tomorrorw some how it helps when you put into words how your feeling but all the girls & Calv lift my spirits & make me laugh & seeing photo's of all the forum babies cheer me up no end with their cheeky big grins.

This is a birthday card i made for a friend's 50th birthday.His name is Kenny & he sings in our local pub along side his daughter Hazel together they are called Cheekha & they are great singing anything from 60s till present.Kenny also does karaoke in a couple of the pubs on a thursday & sunday and he will be 50 in september.Anyway i couldn't think of a way to make a card for him so asked for help on CBC and as usual the amount of help & advice i got was great so hears what i did.Ellen sent me a card with musical instruments on it & Joanne down sized the photo which originally had Hazel in it with her arm around kenny's neck so thank you for that joanne you did a great job.To finish off the card i have added a microphone cut out of the Argos catalogue and added some musical peeloffs around the edges.It doesn't really look that good in the photo but it looks good in the flesh im sure he will love it.His birthday isn't till the end of september but i thiught i would do it just now as i have a lot of stuff comming up so thought i would do it just now so im not rushing around at the last minute.

Lesley took me & her friend into Dundee today lesley wanted to spend her birthday money so she got a few things she got a lovley red drindel skirt anyone remember them?she also got some tops & trousers i even managed to get a couple of tops so i was pleased with that as i usually come back with nothing.Got charlie a few t-shirts for his holiday cant wait for my holiday 6 weeks tomorrow but before we go my mum has to go into hospital for a knee replacement so Charlie & i will be in Glasgow for nearly a week my brother& charlie are going to paint mum's hall & stairs whilst she's in hospital there's still a few bits & bob's needing done around the house & the garden so hopefully we will have it done by the time mum comes home from hospital.Then we have to do our ironing & packing for our holiday so it's going to be busy few weeks.

This is my nephew Scott Lesley took me over to my sister's with scott's birthday presents he will be 4 tomorrow his mum took him & his brother Callum to get their hair cut and Scott got a spiked hair cut the same as his big brother.He looks a lot older now he has lost his liitle boy look he was all excited saying auntie Margaret i got gel in my hair he is a little darling.The other spike is Scott's brother Callum he will be 9 in August he stood next to me today & im only about 2 inches bigger than him he is so tall Callum is a darling to although he doesn't like me saying that now as he gets embarrased.They never fail to cheer me up Callum can do a great impression of Nicki from big brother he is so funny he can also do pete he had me in stitches kids are just so funny.

Well the sun has been shining sunday,monday & today & its been really hot to im not complaining as the heat helps my joints so im not so stiff (Well i am see saturday night fever) The sun just makes me feel so much better in myself it lifts my depression and i hardley eat when its so hot as i drink loads of water so this fills me up and when it comes to tea time i dont really feel hungry.When we go on holiday to majorca i come home having lost weight as i dont get hungry after drinking so much water so if we could have hot weather like this say for a month my weight would come down no problem.Sat out in the back garden today so i am slightly red again but not like when i was on holiday my face is a bit red must put more cream on than i do.

Well Charlie & i were out for our usual monthly saturday night out last night which we really look forward to.Our daughter's friend sings in a band well duet to be precise her name is Hazel & she sings with her dad together they are called Cheekha & they play once a month at the pub we like to go to Hazel comes all the way up from Glasgow but her dad lives hear.Well hazel started singing and that was my que to hit the dance floor (Its only a tiny dance floor) and the pub was very busy this week as there was a few things happening in Arbroath this week anyway i was getting chatted up,asked to dance by a few young lads which i loved then when i fought my way through every one to get to the toilet on my way there someone smacked my bum & i thought cheeky then on the way back i had my bum niped by someone else tell you it made my night. So after dancing the night away & non stop laughing i got up this morning and i hurt from head to toe but it was worth it.Roll on next month it will take me a month to get over my aches & pains i inflickted on myself.The photo's are

I have not updated for a few days as there's nothing much happening at the moment.My daughter Lesley had her wing mirror on her car ripped off in the early hours of wednesday morning who ever done it must have used brute force as its electronic mirrors which only turn in & out when the key is in the ignition.I would see the point of them doing this to use on their own car but to just do it for badness is just pointless.It cost £185.00 to get a new one & get it fitted tell you if i find out who it was they had better beware anyway thats my moan out the way now.The house is so quite Debbie & Lesley are house sitting for a friend for a week everyone said enjoy it whilst you can but im missing them already & its only been one night this time next week i will be wishing they were still house sitting there's no pleasing us mum's is there.

I have been feeling very sad & down this week we were through at Glasgow visiting my mum from saturday till sunday & my sister was there to but we weren't just visiting we had to go through mum's house to clear out a lot of stuff since dad died mum has kept everything the same but whilst we were in Majorca my brother come home from Dubai for a week & him & my sister made a start clearing dad's wardrobes,drawers ect.You wouldn't belive the amount of stuff there was to get rid of anyway we come accross a lot of dad's personal things so my sister & i decided to split all the paper work ect into bags & take them home to put through the shredder.Marion took the bag with all the old photo's photo's we never knew exsisted photo's of my dad's brother who was killed in the war photo's of our great grandparents and a lot more anyway i started on the lot i brought home with me it had some of dad's wage slips & i actually found his first wage slip from 1946 he was only 15 he was paid 4 shillings & sixpence it made me cry reading all this stuff i felt like i was invading dad's privicy but it had to get done.I feel all i have done since monday is cry i didn't want to post this on CBC forum as thats all i seem to do is post about me crying and getting upset but it has been a very hard & difficult year for me. My couisin Jane (Baby George's mum)come over on sunday and took us to see George's grave it was really sad but i had promised jane i wouldn't cry but it ended up i made her cry all i did was give her a big cuddle when i saw her that was the first time i have seen her since George died looking at his tiny grave was enough to break your heart in two.Im going to end this part of my Blog as its upsetting me just reading it back to myself hopefully my next entry will be happy with happy pictures.

Friday 23rd June. It's a bit of a sad day for me today my best friend died 8 years ago today she was only 47 she was the best friend you could ever ask for.We were friends for 20 years they say you only get one true friend in your life well she was that friend she would walk over hot coals for you & nothing was to much bother for her.She was married to jim and would have celebrated their 25th wedding anniversay on 29th may.The photo of the rose is a miniture rose bush that i planted out in our back garden and it blooms every year just before her anniversary.This was Anne's favourite flower yellow roses so i planted this in her memory the photo's not to good.Anne has 2 sons & 1 stepson & 2 step daughters they are all married now with children well all except the youngest son Craig but i hear they are trying for a baby Craig is his mum's double him & his brother Garry are in the Blackwatch & have been since leaving school.I am god mother to Anne's grandson i know Anne would halve loved that as we were always saying things like this to each other she was going to be godmother to any grandchildren i got she wanted Charlie & i to renew our vows on our silver wedding because she wanted to be my bride's maid as she had never been a bridesmaid before although i was bridesmaid at her & jim's wedding needless to say she never got to see that day so she never got her wish.I feel her round me all the time when i feel down or if i cry i can hear her saying Oh for goodness sake Maggie what are you greeting for now she was always saying this to me all she had to do was suprise me with a bunch of flowers and i would start crying just little things like that was enough to start me off she one told me if you dont stop this greeting (slang for crying)im not getting you any more flowers & i still hear her saying that to this day.Anne was a smoker but smoked the cheapest brand of ciggies (Nothing wrong with that i did the same when i used to smoke)Any way we always know when Anne's paying us a visit as you get this smell of ciggies round about you in the living room at first i thought it was just me so never said anything but then one day Lesley & i were sitting talking when she said to me mum can you smell smoke i said yes i told her i had been smelling it for a long time but little did i know Charlie,Debbie & lesley had been smelling it to but never said anything to me incase i thought they were mad so now when we get a whiff of her ciggies we always say Hi Anne how are you today she only stays for a few miniutes but it's nice to know she's still around.

Well thats our week's holiday over we had a really lovley relaxing time after a few misshaps.The weather was great lovley and hot in fact i had mild sunstroke got a bit to much sun on the wednesday just sitting by the pool thought i had enough cream on and only sat out for about 2 hours so now im walking around like a lobster.I felt quite sad on wednesday as my dad died 1 year ago that day we went down to the cliffs and let off a white balloon each we just watched as they floated away over the sea it was nice just watching them float away into the distance.This is the veiw from our room although we have been to this hotel 8 times now this is not the best view we have had rooms that look over the pool as well as the sea but cant complain it was still a great view.We sit late at night or early morning watching the cruise ships sailing from & to Palma harbour.

This is Lesley she got a new hair style today her hair is normally shoulder lenth & frizzy but she got all the frizz taken out & went short i love it Lesley hasn't had short hair since she was little what a big difference.

This is Debbie she got a completely new hair style today her hair is usually shoulder lenth & she has it peremed but it always ends up frizzy & she cant do anything with it.Her hair is dark brown but today she got this choppy new style & she got reddish & blond highlights in it i absolutly love it she just looks so different.

Still not much happening just now.My best friend died 8 years ago & today would have been her & Jim's silver wedding so i have been thinking of her a lot today although i think of her every day we were best friends for 20 years she was simply the best friend you could ever get she would give you her last penny we used to have a lot of laughs & do silly things.Should start looking through my suitcase as we are off to Majorca in 10 days it cant come quick enough just to get away & relax & do nothing except shopping,drinking,shopping OH & SHOPPING hehe.Now which cocktails shall i try i like Black russian's & sex on the beach tried some red love Debbie drinks that it's nice bit a bit sweet for me but hey i will try anything.Well thats me updated for now hope i have something exciting to say in my next update.

Well nothing exciting to tell not much happening we went out last night we meaning Charlie,Debbie & Lesley we went to a pub called the pagent there's a group called cheeka that plays there every month so thats the 3rd time we have seen them it's daughter Hazel & dad Kenny hazel being the lead singer.They are really good they play music from 60s all the way through to today's music so i danced the night away but im suffering today but it was worth it.

Well i have been quite busy the last few days i have been making fathers day cards non stop.My daughter Debbie sold a few at work for me but had to tell her to bring what was left back home as some people in Charlie's work have been asking to buy some so he will take them in tomorrow.If he sells any i will have to make some more as Lesley still has to take them into her work.I know there's 3 weeks to go till fathers day but we go on holiday on the 10th & return on 17th and fathers day is 18th so thats why i started early.

Had a nice weekend charlie & i had our 28th wedding anniversary on friday got lots of flowers & chocolates.On saturday my mum & aunite isa come up from Glasgow for a visit and they both gave us cards with money in them which was a nice suprise mum wouldn't let me cook so we had fish suppers all round boy did i enjoy it not had a fish supper for a while.Today never did ANYTHING oh i tell a lie i did i was going through all the posts about all the fun things that went on in Birmingham from the girls on the forum i hope to meet some of them some time.It's 00.22 so i better start thinking of getting to bed.

Not a lot happening just now i have been busy making some father's day cards i feel a bit sad as i wont be making a special dad one this year for my own dad.He was never into cards anyway it was always my mum who put them up dad just opend them read them then put them back in the envelope but not before taking the money or cheques out first of course. This is one of the last photo's taken of my dad thats my baby brother and mum thats in the picture & it was the last time dad was ever in my house.I miss him so much

Today my daughter lesley took me to a new craft shop which has opened about 15 miles from me.Must say i wasn't impressed i found her quite expensive 75p for a sheet of A4 pearlised card i did buy some as i was needing some to cut tags for my sister.Tonight i made my brother David & sister inlaw to be a wedding card this photo doesn't do it any justice i was really pleased with it i love using Angel hair.

Good news

Got some good news tonight my young brother is getting married in 2 weeks time they were'nt going to tell anyone they were just going to go & do it but david had to tell mum.Anyway it's just the 2 of them & christine's son & daughter as witnesses the are going to fort william to get married as they often go there fishing & camping they are getting married on 27th may which would have been my dad's birthday.We have only met Christine a couple of times but feel as though we have known her for years she is such a great girl i say girl (She's 44) it's both their second marriage but they are just so right for each other.It's good to see him settling down again i think we are going to have a night when they come back from honeymoon and we come home from majorca.

Charlie went out this morning for a news paper and bought me some lovley carnations they are pink & white charlie often suprises me with flowers.Apart from that not much happening just catching up with carolyn's forum and taking a nosey at everyone else's blogs i love being nosey.

Saturday night not done anything much i have been on the net nearly all night checking out florida.We booked our first holiday to florida yesterday but we are not going till next october still have a couple of holidays to take this year.So i have been checking out the parks and what you can do ect it looks pretty amazing so many parks to choose from my daughters want to go to discovery cove where they can swim with dolphins but it is quite expensive but then they would only ever do this once in their life.My sister,brother-inlaw & 2 nephews (Callum & Scott) are going to but they are going to the quality inn plaza we are going to the rodeway inn both are on international drive.It's now 23.35 so i will leave things as they are just now (Need my nightly fix of Carolyn's forum)

This is Callum my other Nephew scott's big brother and i love him he also melts my heart Callum is 9 although he comes up to my shoulder i think it maybe something to do with his dad being 6ft 7ins.He knows i spoil him & Scott as we see quite a lot of them.We have 9 other neices & nephews and 2 great nephews but they all live in Glasgow so we dont see so much of them.The boys come to stay with us during the school holidays & they love when uncle Charlie gets home from work as he goes out to the back garden with them i dont know who is The biggest child (ha ha)

This is Charlie my nearest & dearest we will be married 28 years on friday he is my sole mate and we always know what each other is thinking or we say the same thing at the same time (Scarey at times)I met Charlie when we both worked in a soft drinks factory and got on from day one he used to send me wee love notes in the bottles up the convere belt how romantic is that.

This is my 2 daughters Debbie the one with glasses will be 27 in june & lesley will be 25 in july.They both still stay at home as they cant afford to move out like us they love their holiday's abroad.I suppose they will move out and settle down with a lad one day we are so proud of them they do a lot round the house which helps me.
